SHA can offer assistance and support with anything that affects the security of your tenancy and your ability to keep and successfully run your home. Our ultimate aim is to prevent homelessness and there are many different factors which can affect someone’s ability to maintain their home.
 
Issues can include:
  • Problems with neighbours
  • Understanding the terms of your tenancy agreement
  • Security and safety, maintaining a safe living environment
  • Managing money
  • Claiming Benefits
  • Dealing with “officialdom”, correspondence and phone calls, basic skills
  • Organising the structure of your day
  • Mental and emotional support, confidence building and anything which can contribute to the development of confident independent living skills.
 
We work closely with other agencies and can liaise with or refer onto specialist services in addition to our own input when necessary.
