Why buy re-used furniture?

Re-used furniture offers many benefits - whether you are trying to find something unique to add character to your home, to save money, or to improve the environment, or to do all of the above!

What items do you accept?

We can take almost anything which you might find in the home, including furniture (note that by law we can't take beds or upholstered items which don't have a fire safety label); electrical and kitchen appliances (we P.A.T. these items to ensure they are in working order and safe to use); clothes; books; toys & clothes. Check out the What is available? page for a guide.

What can’t we take?

By law, any upholstered items such as mattresses or sofas must carry a label on each item indicting that it complies with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988. Please check that your item has a fire safety label. If it doesn’t we will be unable to accept it.

Here are some examples of the type of label to be found on mattresses, bed bases, sofas, upholstered items etc.

           

 

Am I eligible to buy your furniture?

We are open to the general public and sell furniture to everyone, but if you are referred to us then you can buy our stock at a lower cost.
